Donations

At The Forest School, we provide an education completely different to other schools and that difference is what makes us special. Our school is built on innovation, creativity, and a deep commitment to providing children with an education that honours them.

The One Day School is fully funded by families and receives no government funding. Our Primary School receives government funding for core operations and does not charge attendance fees, but this funding does not fully cover the enriched experiences that make The Forest School unique. We therefore rely on school donations to support and sustain our unique, nature-based programme.

Donations are voluntary, but they are also relied on. Donations do directly impact the richness of our children’s education. We are not a school that can be sustained by funding alone; we rely on the shared generosity and partnership of our families.

By contributing, you are helping to build something remarkable; an educational model that is leading change in New Zealand and shaping what schooling can be. We warmly invite you to partner with us in this journey.

For 2026 The Forest School requests a voluntary school donation of $500 per enrolled child, per term. This supports us to provide our small class sizes, specialist teachers, and the ongoing infrastructure and development of our beautiful purpose built spaces.
